Grand 4 star (Visit Britain) Victorian Guest House built in 1896, with parking. Non-smoking throughout. Centrally located in the town of Windermere - an ideal base for exploring the Lake District.

All of our bedrooms (6 in total) are en-suite and we now offer a king-size double bedroom, in addition to two doubles, one twin, one family and one single room. All of the bedrooms have the usual facilities - flat screen digital colour tv, fluffy towels, hairdryer, alarm clock, refreshment tray and wineglasses, and in addition our single room has its own DVD player.

Unusually, we have retained our ground floor guests' lounge, with maps and guides to the area to help plan your stay, colour tv and DVD player.

Our hearty breakfasts are cooked to order and include locally made Cumberland sausage and free-range eggs, with vegetarian or lighter alternatives of course. There is a selection of cereals to choose from, grapefruit, fruit juice and fresh toast, with a plentiful supply of tea, coffee or herbal infusions.

Centrally heated and fully double-glazed. We have some private parking and there is free parking on Holly Road as well. Non-smoking throughout.
